winchester 94 info

Looking for the win 94 crowd for some information. Did Winchester post 64 make a light colour stock set for the 94. Would almost describe as '' blonde'' ?

The Ranger model had a different light color wood. I believe it was birch wood.

There were post '64 Model 94s made with birch stocks. I have one.

My brother's '72 vintage 94 had a dark stock when he bought it, but it was just superficial finish. The finish started to flake and peel, and when the stock was re-finished, it came out blonde. Likely birch stained to a walnut colour.

If my memory serves me correctly there was post stocks made out off beech.
