Winchester 94 jamming issues?

Just tried some withchester 150 grain. Loaded up 8 rounds. First round slight jam, but easily fixable (#### back a hair and bring back forward), then I shot it, cycled the next rounds with ease, and all of them shot fine. I did notice that the lever is a lot smoother now. Honestly I think it was just a matter of breaking it in. It now has a total of 28 rounds through it.

I have owned several 94's. One thing that i have learned to check before my ammo is the loading gate screw. If it loosens up it allows the inner leaf to interfere with the gun cycling, sometimes to the point of completely jamming.

I do as suggested earlier. All levers get cycled a bunch to break them in. Actually all guns. That is cycled empty. Used levers are often bought out of a closet or safe with very low round counts and years of storage. Judicious oiling of pivot points and lots of cycling will probably save you a bunch of unnecessary cost and grief.
