Hi folks,
I just purchased a new win 94 lever (top eject) and want to try a scope on it. What type of mount do I need and where can I find it?

Thanks!

I would go with a RX peep, but if you really want to give it a go , I do have a mount that I picked up for 20 bucks(a side mount) that will work.
If you want it I can send it out to you.
Just send me out a box of 22 cal, 52 or 53 grain match bullets for my .223
They sell for 12 to 15 bucks on sale most of the time.Or something like that.
Or let me know if you got something kicking around you want to dump.
Frank

there should be something on the weaver site to tell you which ones you need-rear is a 95 and the front is a 94 or vice versa, i don't remember which - roughly about 5 bucks each new- - the set i have blocks the irons , but it's also the only listing for the 94 ae on the weaver site

top eject

Just bought a 94 myself, angle eject. The trouble with the top eject is that the brass is ejected straight up. Because of this you have two options, mount the scope on the front barrel (leupold makes a nice, but expensive, 2.5x with a 9'' eye relief), or side mount the scope off the side of the receiver. Several companies make the side mounts. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend, what you will use the gun for and preference. Hope this helps.

This is where you get hit by lightning...scoping a 94...are those clouds I see forming?

I know. I'm waiting for the gods of the lever gun to strike me down. I really don't like the look of a scope on a lever and had no intention of scoping it when I bought it. I can't seem to do too much with the irons though.

when you said it was new, i knew it had to angle eject- it's the old fellas that are top eject- the numbers for the weavers still apply- there's a b-square one as well, just make sure you get the right one-just don't sell the irons short - my 44 trapper will do a quarter 5 hole group at 100 with irons-looks kind of funny with a 3x9 x32 variable on it though

Wow, that's fantastic! I can barely see the 8.5x11 target at 100 yrds:(
Thanks for your help.
