Hey Guys,
Well I got one off the bucket list! I finally picked up a Winchester 94 (1969)! I went out to the range with her and she loaded and functioned flawlessly, however I am having difficulty with my aim.
No matter how I adjust the rear sight my shot always seems to be 8 -10 inches low at 100 yards. Now never having used a buckhorn rear sight I am not sure if I am using it correctly.
I am setting the top of the front pin even with the top of the two points on the rear sight and then going for center. That seems to work fine for centering the shot however I am not able to change my elevation regardless of which way I move the elevator.
Please refer to photos.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not wish to mount a scope on this rifle as I purchased it specifically for close quarters hunting of white tails in heavy timber.
