winchester 9422

just picked up a win 9422 at the gun show today.....
this baby is real nice ......i am assuming it is the earlier model not the xtr???
how can i tell for sure?? is there any website where i can check manufacturing dates by serial number??
what is it worth in terms of resale value???
any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Winchester 9422

that is an earlier model 9422 , I have had a 9422 mag., now for 34 years , it's a grat rifle and I wouldn't sell mine for anything , had too much fun with it , and taken alot of groundhogs with it . Congrats ... and enjoy .. no doubt you will .... Joe
