Winchester 9422

Hi all,
Lately I've been seeing 9422's going for a pretty hefty price, from around $750 and up. I was wondering why this is? I know they're no longer in production as of 2005 (please correct me if I'm wrong) and am wondering if this is the reason why? I picked mine up about 7 years ago for about $350. Albeit mine is not in mint condition, there is some light pitting and minor scuffs on the wood.

On a side note, I saw and picked up some Hornady Leverevolution in .22 mag with the polymer tip as well as the CCI .22 mag with polymer tip. I understand the reasoning behind the Leverevolution in center fire calibers but why in rimfire?

Interested in seeing this leverevolution rimfire ammo. Never seen or heard of it and its not on the hornady web site. Personally sounds like the vmax to me.

You're probably right. Unfortunately I don't have a box I fired all of the one I had. The CCI is definitely VMAX but I can't remember exactly what the Hornady was. I'll pick some up tomorrow and check.
