Winchester 9422

I just bought a 9422M XRT in near unfired condition in an auction and out the door paid close to $1800 for it and love it!
Someone will probably jump you for opening a thread thats 12 years old. Theyre a very fine gun and the XTRs just that much finer. Great find in that condition and it will continue to appreciate in value and desirability.

Funny I was actually about to post about this was wondering if I should go browning bl22 or wait for a 9422.
I have both a bl22 and a 9422 and 9422M. They are all awesome I love shooting them all. First the bl22 I have - has the plastic/composite stock, it is light, quick, durable and accurate (although the stock and for grip does mark up easily) and a blast to shoot. The action definitely is not near as smooth as the 9422 but it travel is far less I have a fair sized hand and can cycle a round through the chamber without removing my hand off the stock just using my fingers which is great. The 9422 on the other hand - other than the stroke on to cycle a round is a little longer, it is all the above with a wayyy smoother action and built to be the last .22 you will ever need. My kids love the bl22 and I shoot the Winchester.

I wouldnt worry about it. If they dont like it they can just move on!! Great gun to own and especially in the Magnum model. I believe theyre much harder to aquire than the 22LR. Not sure if its due to the numbers produced or folks hang on to the magnums.

Thank you! As far as the 9422M I think it is a combination of both! I’m currently looking for a 9417 & the 9410 and to find those is like finding hens teeth!

Ocassionally they pop up on the EE. I have seen several 9410s in the last couple years. One or two were NIB unfired. I cant recall a 9417 thou.
