Hi everyone!

Going to a gun auction tomorrow and this has caught my eye

I don't want to overpay as there is a 25% buyers premium on top of whatever I bid, these are the only pictures I have

What's it worth?

Thanks in advance

well it's good to know a few other CGNers live in the same hood.. I'll let you bid (and win) on that Winchester 94 , if you don't outbid me on a couple other items.. haha

The more and more I read about this gun, the more and more of a POS it becomes lol. Most undesirable, unreliable model, have to get rid of the large loop and cross bolt safety according to a few guys I've talked to.

Been chasing a lever action .357 for a while now and the right model NEVER comes my way

I'm just gonna grab a big boy all weather or an 1894csbl and be done with it

Great to hear the will be some CGN members there tonight, see you guys at 4pm

I have a Browning 92 in .357. Very nice rifle.
A friend has a Marlin 94. Also a very nice rifle.
The Marlin will feed and function with .38 Special as well as .357 cartridges. My Browning requires full .357 length rounds; won't feed .38 Specials.
Something to keep in mind.

Nope, I didn’t buy any guns. They went crazy on prices. The 4570 for 850 plus fees....$1050 out the door?!?!? No thanks. Worn out single six for 600. I bought a ton of powder and primers for about 15 cents on the dollar.

Sweet deal on the powder and primers! Nice buy!

I left after they sold the last of the restricteds,

Crazy stupid high prices, that highway patrolman for 800$ WOW

That's like 1015$ after tax/fees

Thank you for the great info!

I have 1000s of rounds of .38spl, the marlin 94 sounds like a winner as that is key, I want it to cycle .38spl most importantly,

What would be a price range that would be considered a good buy on one of these marlin 94s ?

Does anyone see this pop up on EE every now and then ?

Or they a needle in haystack to find ?

Back when I dabbled with cowboy action I also had a Browning B92 in .357 Mag. I had the exact situation with it not feeding .38 Specials.

I later acquired one of the Winchester 94AE's like in the first pics in this thread. Except mine has the regular lever, not the large loop. While I'm not a fan of the cross-bolt safety on it, it does feed .38 Specials reliably.

NAA.

I use very little factory ammunition; when I loaded .38 Special cases for the Browning, I just seated the bullets out to .357 length. Worked fine.
