I'll tell you this: if the economy shows any signs of improving with resulting increases in commodity prices, I think I'm going to buy a truck load of lead shot. I won't get caught with my pants down twice!

It was, what, about double the current price less than a year ago?

We bought a pallet of shot from hummason last spring, $42 a bag landed. that's taxes and delivery in. When I started reloading in 93 it was $18 landed per bag!

Wonder if anyone has bought any lately from them and what the price is? Should have been down, but I am not seeing consumer bought commodity pricing trending along with the market price...

Hummason's is $26 a bag.
 
I bought a flat of AA from Bass Pro for $58+tax at my local shop they are $96 tax in the cheapy federal stuff is $72tax in. The last time I went to BPS they dint have any flats of AA or I would have bought a few more.
 
Even Wal-Marts are cleaned out of their bargain shells.
I thought prices are supposed to go down in a depression/recession.
Mind you, I have read that BO, the new president of the US is being called "Gun Salesman of the year" That could certainly affect the old supply demand curve.
