I agree. I just dont find deafeningly loud muzzleblast in the field (I dont wear earplugs when hunting) worth the recoil reduction at the range. You do you, I just cant stand them.

Their 1885 model has been available in 6.5 and 300 PRC for a year now, go figure that was the rifle they led with

That was my first thought. The muzzle brake/threaded barrel trend theses days sure turn me away from considering such rifles.

The extreme weather is a very nice rifle. Got one in a 264 a few years ago. If only the PRC was available then.

Give them an ounce of credit. Most companies are still pumping out Tupperware stocks in their finlights and t3’s.

Chambering rifles for 6.5 and 300 PRC makes a lot of sense. Excellent hunting cartridges and only growing in popularity. 6.5 PRC is for hunters that want to "magnumize" their Creed.

Because the label of the cartridge is PRC instead of Ruger it saves Winchester from having to stamp a competitors name on their barrels- which is the only reason Winchester hasn't dropped the 375 H&H for the 375 Ruger.
