Had a very dissapointing experience this weekend . I ran short of time and couldn't get any ammo for my sons .303 British loaded up for some hunting so I bought a box of winchester 180 gr. From Walmart . I opened the box when I got home and found a primer was missing .it had missed being inserted , but it never missed being filled with gun powder , which as now all through the box ......after some sighting in and some tar get practice had 2 rounds ftf ......anyone have a email or contact info for a rep in Canada?

- Was in a local gun store last weekend when a guy came in with a sob story. He'd been out in the woods, and spotted his deer, and drew-down on it, and pulled the trigger and the gun went 'click' and the deer went "bye-byes, y'all" and was long gone before he could work the bolt and chamber another round.

He'd been using Winchester ammo; we convinced him it likely wasn't a problem with his gun then, and he left with a couple'a boxes of Federal and Hornady Superformance.

Don't know what's up with Winchester. Their rimfire ammo is GARBAGE - the Club has a bunch that they put on the tables at Open House for the members and guests to use, but most of us bring our own .22 now - and refuse to even use Winchester for free, much less buy any. Better than standing there counting slowly to sixty - a couple'a times a magazine-full - while everybody else on the line is waiting for us to safe-up and put the gun down. And I'd feel so embarrassed, if they weren't spending half their range day doing the same thing.

Sad to hear their premium centrefire ammo has the same sorta' problems...

Try calling 705-749-0622,that is the number for the Winchester Ammunition representative in Canada.

Had a similar experience with their 5.56 ammo (55gr fmj 223)

A box had 2 missing primers and one upside down. I had ftf in every boxes and accuracy was garbage. Paid 9$ a pack of 20.

It reminded me why I avoided Winchester

Well I called winchester rep for Canada and talked to a very nice lady . She said to send the remaining rounds to them on their dime and she would contact winchester for direction .now going on week 3 since sending ammo back and no response .still patiently waiting ...

I do load my own , just didn't have time the night before a trip and figured I'd save myself some time ....but ended up costing me more in the long run.just glad my son didn't line up on a big deer and instead of bang it just went click.

Well , went and picked up the mail today and what do my eyes see ? A letter from winchester aying they were sorry for the inconvenience ....and a check for the replacement value of ammo , we'll not quite but pretty close. So note to self , reload lots and when I think I have enough , load a hundred more ...
