Winchester brass

Just got another bag of Winchester brass from another supplier......same crap. The tarnishing is over the entire case, looks like it was not rinsed properly after being manufactured or there is a reaction with the rinse agent and the brass. The flash holes are no different either, still lots off centered. Off to another brand now....

I usually find the Winchester brass to be pretty good. I prefer to go with it over the Remington brass if possible.

In a bag of 50 Rem brass, I usually have to discard 5 or 6 due to split or cracked necks.

The last few bags of Winchester 243 brass I bought, I found it was really hard to seat the CCI primers. I definately got a good workout getting them all seated. I read that others on the interweb also had the sale issue.

My experience with their 270 WSM brass I bought from them last year. Ended up reaming out every primer pocket by hand. Worked great then.

Yes, I am working on finding the email for a rep I met a few years ago at their plant in East Alton. Talked to the local gun shop today when I brought the second bag back and they have had a few returns of Winchester brass lately.
