Winchester bulk - the whinging continues :p

My 10/22 (recent production) LOVES the Win 222/333/555/etc bulk packs. My Ruger actually had trouble with the AE bulk packs, and CCI (I forget which model), which was wildly inaccurate for whatever reason (random plinking, not measured MOA or anything).

probably lot number. I have shot it before without issue as well. You also have to beware of Internet magnification of issues. 9.5/10 its personal bias or an unusual bad experience.

That's a major factor, people that had trouble speak more and louder than people that had no problem and just move on.

Repeaters generally have the looser chambers to allow more reliable operation. Single shot bolt action rifles can benefit from closer fitting chambers.

And yes, the empties sticking in the tighter match size chambers is the ONLY bad thing about it. For consistency, and therefore accuracy, it's just fine as bulk packaged ammo goes.

Of course all the ammo we've got was purchased at one time so it's going to be from the same lot number. And in fact it may well be that most of the issues are with a specific duration of production. It's just that we've got SO MUCH of it to use up now.
