I got my first one in 1965 as a Winchester Cooey.

Yup, 1961 ..up til that year, Cooey operated the mill. Olin took it over in 1961 under the ospices of winchester until mid 1970s when Lakefield took it over.

1961 was the year Winchester purchased Cooey.In 1968 Winchester cheapened the Cooey line like they did with the Winchester line in 1964.
