I've had numerous model 94 collectables over the years and they all shot well for me. Not a dud in the bunch. Folks either dig 'em or not.
I currently use an RCMP centennial musket & really like the bugger.

I have lever actions but I am not really a lever action type of guy. There was only 5000 RCMP Commemoratives made, far fewer than the other Winchester commemorative and centennials which makes them, IMO a little more desirable. I like the look of the full fore end so I bought an unfired one also. It kinda looks weird in the vault because I have it on display in the full stock military rifle section. Maybe because it is too new but it looks a bit out of place sitting next to my Mannlichers, Ross rifles, Enfield's and Pattern 14s. I am a common caliber type guy so the other good thing is that 30-30 is cheap and easy to get and is a good selling point when someone gives me a decent offer.

The commemorative model that would fit nicer in your military section would be the NRA Centennial Musket. I'm lookin' fer one of these meself.

I think you are correct. The RCMP one is a little too much bling... Doesn't even quite fit in my level gun section because of the full fore end. Damn Winchester, appealing to my Canadianess with an RCMP edition!lol
