Do they make good shooters or would you be better with just a plain pre 64.
TIA CCIC:confused:

They shoot just the same as any other one. I like pre-64's, and for hunting/shooting I'd prefer a plain jane model anyways.

Thank you for the reply 1899,I do have a Pre64 in 32 SP.and I like it very much, maybe I should find one in 30-30.

What is wrong with the .32sp? The thing about the commemoratives is that they are shiny and really attract attention. Having said that, at this point I own only one lever action, and it is a commemorative.

Nothing wrong with the 32SP off course I love lever actions and I'm thinking of getting a couple more in 30-30 but can't decide on what model the 32sp that I have is a 1958 in very good condition one in 30-30 in the same range would be ok I guess
Thanks for your reply.CCIC

Nothing wrong with shooting a commemorative if you have one and want to do so--however as soon as you shoot it it loses its value as a collectable--win commemoratives only hold their value as collectables if they are mint, unfired with the original box, papers, etc. As soon as you shoot them, they are just that --a shooter. Some make really nice shooters though--the NRA that is set up like an M-64 is an excellent shooter as are the canadian centennials with the octagon barrels.

I have three Win '94 commemoratives - Legendary Lawmen [trapper] carbine, Bat Masterson carbine and a Cowboy carbine. All .30-30's. Also, have two regular '94's both pre '64's. One rifle & the other a carbine. Both in .30-30.... All of my '94's are shooters. That's what they were meant for. ;) :D

"...as soon as you shoot it it loses..." They lose any value as soon as you take off the box wrapping. Even in the original shipping state, their value is limited. Too many of 'em made.
Other than the finish, they're just regular rifles and shoot the same as one.

Thanks for the replies,There is a gunshow on Sunday the 7th in Longueuil and I will try and find me one in 30/30.
Keep on shooting,
