Winchester Cooey Model 71?

Hello all: I just acquired a Cooey Mdl 71 is .270 cal in real nice shape. Just wondering if the Williams peep sights for Winchester Mdl.70 will fit? I would like to outfit this rifle with peep sights and use it as a all-round camp gun. Any info would be appreciated.

The Williams 5D 70 receiver sight is the one for your rifle. In the late 70's, I had the same make of rifle &
sight set up, but it was re-barreled in .35-284 . Fun rifle to toss lead with.
