Anybody tried the new FN winchester coyote light? Looks like a pretty skookum rig with the B&C stock and fluted barrel. Might have to give one a try!

Not sure about the new Win M70's made by FN, but for many years my son and I shot a Win 70 Coyote in a .223 with 9" twist bbl. We launched the 75 gr Amax bullet with fantastic results even out to 800m at Connaught. I had the confidence to shoot this platform at Connaught's NSCC Sniper matches and placed very well.

I'm confident that FN USA will turn out a great product... now if I could only afford another M70!

Hungry, was that the stainless heavy barreled model? .223 WSSM?

Hungry here: It was one of the earliest M70 Coyotes made and in .223 Rem caliber, nothing fancy. My son even shot a couple of Service Rifle matches (1 to 12) with this rifle. What a great unit it was. Sold it for an M70 Stealth II in .308.

Well got 14 rounds through it. sure is a nice unit. the action felt very smooth and precise. recoil isn`t terrible but is an 8 lb gun. trigger pull is extremly light  factory says 3 1/2 pounds but i dunno they might have gone light this one... we ran out of day light but we got to a point were we were 2 inches high at 100 yards. it can be fine tuned abit more but not bad really for now, it should hit the mark, especially if the target hapennes to be 2-300yards away... :D

I could tell the butt piece harden in the cold, it was about -15c today, shot soft for the first half dozen rounds then got stiffer, although my virgin shoulder was probly pussying out too.

I`ll definatly get more time with it before hunting season comes around again. :D
