Anyone else notice that winchester is no longer making the ultimate shadow or the ultimate shadow SS? Am I the only one that finds this confusing as it seems the trend in rifle sales is that stainless steel is prreffered yet they have cut it down to only one model 70 variation now available in full stainless. And no "economic" option to get a model 70 action in a cheap tupperware stock. They don't even make their new XPR rifle in a stainless version
Winchester cuts the ultimate shadow?

It's still up on their website (US), but when we (Canadian Retailers) got the 2016 Catalog from Browning for the 2016 Canadian Winchester Line-up, the Ultimate Shadow in all it's configurations was "absent".
In the Model 70 line-up for 2016 I only "clearly remember" seeing the Sporter, Featherweight and the Alaskan models - there may be something else there, but the Ultimate Shadow was definitely absent at least from the Canadian Line-up for 2016.
And the XPR, while not in stainless (at least yet) has had a wood stocked version added for 2016.
