I have just purchesed a Mod 94 ser # 2.2 mill made in 1957..............now here's the enigma........it's in 44-40. The gun appears to be 100% original, the lever has full throw but the bolt is about an inch short of full back when open. I do know a fair bit about Winnies but have never encountered this variation. Again it is not a cobbled together gun, hasn't been bubba'd it appears 100% original.
Does anyone know of this variation, any info would be appreciated.
