Wondering who here has one of these rifles ? What caliber do you have ? What model year is it ? How do you like it ? Thinking of purchasing this rifle new for 2019

I have one in 270 win. For the price of these (especially used ones) is one of the best rifles I have owned. Mine has a Timney trigger, the Bell and Carlson stock went on a old Mauser I had kicking around and now sits in a wildcat featherweight pattern stock.

How much weight did you save with the Wildcat and what was the cost (if you don't mind sharing)?

I have not weighed it. But after the pads were installed it was noticeable lighter then the bell and Carlson. Please contact Stuart for the latest prices. I have had this stock for awhile but a little over $400 to my door rings a bell.
 
Got one in 7mm08, the rifle is fantastic. I couldn’t tell you what year it is but it was ordered in for me in mid 2017. The rifle is more accurate than I am; have a long ways to improve, the model 70 action is superb, never had any issues.

Two minor things for some.... the rifle is pretty heavy (just the way I like it, I’m recoil shy), and the grip of the bell and Carlson stock is a little chunky and I have larger hands.

Needless to say it’s one of the rifles I used to replace others in the safe, and it won’t be going anywhere. In fact it needs another Winchester Extremem Weather friend to go wit it.

I couldn’t tell you, I heard from stores they have a hard time getting them in. I walked in to Canadian tire locally and saw they had a few extreme weathers in the case and enquired about one getting a quote for one in 7mm08. Less then two months later I got a call saying it was ready for pickup.
 
I have one, bought new last fall topped it with a Nikon Monarch 3 in 2.5x10 and killed a deer, should kill more for the rest of my life. I got it in .270 Winchester its made in Portugal. Solid rifle I really really like it. I went with it because its different than what most people seem to be buying in my area and the fit and finish is very very nice. Most people I know have Brownings, Savages or Remingtons the Winchester is harder to get ahold of but a very nice gun. The dealer I received mine through had to special order it from the USA. Browning owns Winchester so any Browning dealer can get you one. No real complaints about it if you like detachable mags you may not want a Winchester model 70 but I like the boxed mag much more reliable nothing to loose. Also a model 70 is a classic something that can be handed down to future generations.

How does it shoot ? do you shoot factory ammo ? what kind of groupings did you get at 100 ?

I like the rifle but not the stock, I had one in 300 win mag really wanted one in .338 ended up getting just the stainless in .338 both were switched to a Boyd's stock. I don't like any of the Bell and Carlson style stocks that I have handled. They seem heavy and awkward to shoulder.

Haven't got a whole lot of range time in yet, set the rifle up shooting a piece of cardboard using the truck bed as a rest and then went hunting. Unsure of what I could get if I had a proper bench rest I certainly expect MOA or better. I shoot factory ammo yes.
 
I've had one for about five years in .264 win, shoots very well, with bullets it likes, I get consistent 40-50 mm groups at 300m 4 shot groups, I agree with others that the stock is thick in the wrist and fore stock,
I would much prefer a featherweight or sporter in stainless, now that they are aviable I am think of ordered one in.
