Hey there , was just doing an ammunition count and inspected 2 boxes of .308 power max made by winchester i bought about 4 weeks ago and noticed not only do these same cartridges have this gummy feeling on the cases but the necks all looked crushed rather than crimped .

I look at 3 boxes of winchester power point i bought a while ago , same gummy look , tarnished specks all over the casings , even some rust .

And i had this happen with some supreme comp i bought a while ago too ...

Has winchester gone to #### in the QC department or is this just random ? i dont have this appearance or feel on ANY other ammunition brands i buy ..

Should i take some pictures and maybe send a note to winchester .
 
Not crushed in the sense of actually damaging the projectile .. ill get some pictures and see if what im talking about will show up . its like its been stamped / slightly crushed by evenly 5 spaced blades or somethin. and the film almost feels like grime or glue .

That sounds like the normal crimp done on most ammunition with bullets that have a cannelure (groove).
