Looking for a fair price for a M14 12-3 all Winchester. I really do not know how much, with all the M305s out there for $400 and up, please let me know!

Thanks
Darb

I'd probably start at 2,000$ (Cost of a new SAI Standard M1A roughly) if I was looking to sell one and go up from there. Then again it being prohibited will mean your buyer market is limited and sad to say but stripping it down may fetch you more money in individual parts, sure you'll end up with a stripped receiver but you probably can make more selling it bit by bit as you'd be selling USGI M14 components to people without a 12.3 license. .

PS. If you decide to part it up, let me know I want that flash hider. :p

they sell for about $1000-1400.00 because they are prohibs and you may have to wait a while to find a guy who's looking for safe queen .

Strip it down and you won't have a problem selling it for as much possibly more than the whole gun is worth.

I would say keep it as a safe-queen if it is in good condition and keep your 12.3(if that is your only 12.3 gun).

Otherwise, strip her down and put it on a Norc or LRB receiver. Keep the Winchester receiver as a fancy paper-weight :p

if you manage to find a 12(3) m14 for under a 1000.00 throw the cash at it :D
BUT..... expect to pay 1250 to 1600 for a very nice well kept specimen. if you are paying 2000.00 and "up from there" ........ you are getting ripped off unless the rifle has a qenuine reason IE: unique collector specimen value..... 2000 is more than the parts are worth at the high side of premium prices.
I saw a few advertised on various retail, consignment sites but...... for the condition.... only one was worth the asking price. On this site...... in 8 months of searching and putting up adds...... I have found a mere THREE ...... and they were all very nice :D I found a couple at gunshows and found a couple more through private means........ I'm still looking hehehe
put an add in the EE , ya never know ;)

"...for $1700.00..." Great. My retirement fund keeps getting bigger. It is a pity I'll have to sell my toys to live though. Paid $650(might have been $600) for mine, long ago.
As mentioned, if it's your only 12(3) and you sell it, you'll lose the permit. The market is extremely limited anyway.

That would be for a registered full auto example... not many around, lots of people with money that want them.

Up here, tiny market of people with 12(3), and a paperweight currently.

I just picked up 2 12(3) m14's .... a HR and a winchester..... yesterday :D
I got them both for parts and the guy sold em to me in person for 1950.00 cash for the pair :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:
please no p.m.'s to buy parts..... none of this will be for sale... sorry.

You've seemed like a nice guy the two times I've been to your house, but did I mention that I hate you!

LOLZ
In my opinion..... though it's tough to find these rifles in the hands of those willing to sell them at a reasonable price..... I have proved numerous times now that it's not impossible. I don't have any special connections that have assisted me in my quest.... just the internet, meeting folks at gun shows, speading the word through local and online retailers/consignment outfits ect ect. Spend a few months searching very hard and somethin will turn up. I have been also given a few smokin deals by fellow cgn'ers on a few of the rifles i managed to snap up.
they are out there.... and my quest is done.... I'll leave the rest to you guys and I'll pipe up if anymore fall in my lap ;) ..... assuming ... that at the time ... I can control my insatiable urge to buy them myself LOL
