It's funny how what works for one guy may not work at all for someone else. For the longest time many years ago, Wildcat ammo was considered a gem in the rough -- guys would sort it by weight and rim thickness, and then go on to use it as benchrest or match ammo. Myself, I used to shoot it by the 5,000 round flat and went through more than a few ... and I found it to be extremely good stuff for the price. And a lot of that shooting was with a 10/22 and a Ruger MkII. I still shoot the stuff, but it's still from my last big purchase back in 1997. Really! It was a BIG purchase!Maybe a bad batch. This same ammo runs good as I shoot my Ruger 2245 Mk III. Even with Remington 597 HB, it shoots decent grouping. Avoid Winchester Wildcat, cheap but jams at least 50% in semis.
I disagree, reviews matter. Yes I've left mine at their offices. I've sent it down the barrel of 8+ rifles, bolt, semi, and lever, I merely state it's among the worst stuff I've used. I've shot Win, Ely, RWS, CCI, Browning, Aguila, S&B etc. but having said that it is just my opinion. But my opinion is backed by data like I showed in the video above. If it works for you congratulations, but I'm not seeing as large of numbers saying it's great stuff. I am seeing a lot of people that say it works, that's different from someone sounding like a rave review. I'm not moaning about it, merely pointing out there's better for the same price. But .22lrs a very finicky about ammo, I owned 2 same models of the 10/22 they preferred different ammunition.Odd man out here....I get a box of 1000 whenever Cabelas has it on sale.
No problems with it worthy of moaning and #####ing about on the internet
Excellent survival rifle, that gets overlooked by many. It's like a hammer with very few parts to go wrong and very compact .The only rifle I use it in is my sons rascal lol.
