winchester mod 70 classic sporter in SS value?

Does anyone remember what these rifles used to sell for new?
Stainless, synthetic, boss. 7mm.

And I'm guessing that removing the boss depreciates the initial value but by how much?

I forget when they stopped putting those things on Winchester rifles, but I would hazard a guess of about $750. YES if you loose the boss it would reduce the price. I had a Larado with the boss, removed it and had a thread protector made. Keeep the boss as part of the package. That Larado I'd like to find another.

$750 is a fair ask if the rifle is in good shape.
