Hello All, I am thinking of selling my mint Model 100. Less than 50 rounds through her period. Standard .308, born in 1967. Firing pin has had recall done. Never had a scope or anything mounted. Rifle is like new. My question is what would be a good price to ask?

Ask for as much as you wish for, and say offers will be considered. Then, when you are tired of waiting, take the best offer.

Hi Ariser, I would think a 1967 should have lined cut checkering not pressed patterns? But anyhow it's a good $450 dollar 308. Any price less than that and it's worth more to keep for yourself.

I would ask 550, and I have two 308 M 100\'s. One mint blonde like yours and one very good brunette.

Hello scanner, they changed the stock design in 1964. I even have a Model 88 from 1964 with the basket weave.
Hello TheTooner, I have someone asking me to sell it. Its not like I was even going to advertise it for sell.

Hello 460v, and heavyBullet. Yes I have seen a lot of well hunted ones too. There lies my question. The guy in Ontario doing the recall for Winchester in Canada said its the best one he has ever seen.

Well, he has a price in mind, then, at which he would be glad to have it. Have you asked him what that price is?

Your 100 seems a very good example - certainly as nice as the best I can recall ever seeing in the EE here. I haven't seen so many for sale that I could say that there is a "going rate". It really does come down to whatever the two sides find agreeable.

Well i can't top that, but 100s and 88s tend to sit on the shelf in gunshops, at least here in Sask. and i think that $500 is overly optimistic, IMHO.

These rifles suffered in reputation because of the firing pin recall - presumably yours has been done.... Assuming it has, I'd say 500 to 550$, with the understanding that its being sold as a collectible rifle. I dont think you can use American pricing as a guideline...

Excuse the hijack, but what about a VG cond., Mdl 100, carbine version - in 284 Winchester?
I was told they are a bit rare?

That would be a real rare one!

In that condition it might bright $800-1,000 bucks!
I hunt with a 308 Carbine, they are a light great carring rifle but suffer accuracy problems with the barrel band.

None at all for you, scanner. Before your little outburst this thread appeared to be about Ariser's Winchester 100. I shall let it be. Flail away.
