I have a 16 guage model 12 pump that will not eject a fired case. It cycles unfired cases perfectly. The fired hull is properly extracted but then hangs up as the mouth seems to be slightly too long for the port. This is a fairly old shotgun and I'm told that some 16's were chambered for 2 9/16" shells instead of 2 3/4". It is a takedown model and a great little gun to carry. It accounted for 12 grouse yesterday!
Is there a modification to allow the bolt to come back a little further or some other change to allow it to properly kick out the shell? I thought about taking a very small amount off the ejector so that the shell would be back slightly before it begins to eject but I would appreciate assistance from someone who knows what to do.
Thanks,
