Winchester Model 12 Value

Have my late father in laws 1940 Winchester model 12 Trap , solid rib ,factory red recoil pad , very nice grained wood 12 gauge 2 3/4" very good shape hasn't been used for the last 25+ years any idea of value on this fine shotgun .

Photos please. You could have a $600-800 gun depending on a few things.

Actually the same version are all over the us for $800 -1200 and they are not selling down there either unless they are piegon or tournament grade 12 ga guns are soft gown in the us they are very common .
 
Ya the Buddy technique he can just put it in his trunk drive through 2 board crossing stop at the first gun shop he drives up to get $1.500.00 us for it put $400 in his pocket and give u the balance . I use to do that in the late 70's and 80"s when I would go to the us for trap shoots . Not that easy anymore
 
These days if it doesn't have changeable chokes, people are not interested.

I have 3 M12s and haven't paid more than 350 for any of them. Of course, none of them have the fine wood that can be seen on the upgraded models. If yours does have the slightly raised comb, then I see them asking 800+, but I don't see them selling..
