Hi, Looking to find the value of this old Rifle for my Uncle. He has owned this gun for over 40 years, and got it from a family that had owned it since new. Gun is in excellent condition, probably rate it a 9 out of 10.

Winchester Model 1886 .33 WCF Built 1903. Serial # is 131399

He has had collectors throw him offers anywhere from $600, to $1000 for it. Can anyone give me a more accurate value of this gun?

PM me if you also know of any interested collectors in this gun.

Thanks, boyz your expertise is appreciated, and valued. Gix.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of it. It is at his place, and he's not exactly. Savy when it comes to emailing pics, etc. The gun is a solid 90 to 95%

A ballpark figure of its value is all I'm looking for.

Thanks. Gix.

The condition plays a huge factor. The closer it is to brand new in box, never fired, the more it will be worth. Have a look on gunsinternational.com for rifles in similar condition. I have an 1886 Takedown in .33 WCF that was poorly stored and has some rust on the receiver and it's probably worth about $1,200.

If it is a standard 86 in .33Win. it will have a straight grip, solid frame, 24 inch taper barrel, shotgun butt. Basically an extra lightweight 86. If it is really in 90 to 95% condition it would be termed a "high condition" rifle and have more value than a pretty much grey gun which describes the majority of 86's. Value would be north of $2000 if your assessment of condition is accurate. The 33 is one of the less popular chamberings with collectors who prefer the big bore black powder rounds and are the most commonly seen chambering. Having said that however condition is everything and a true 90-95% rifle is not that common and commands a premium.
