Hey group.
Just looking for a bit of info about a rifle.
Just picked up a 1975 Winchester model 1894 in 30-30
Had some rust on the receiver from being carried.
I cleaned it up with some gun oil and 0000 steel wool.
Should I leave it alone or reblue the receiver?
And what is an approximate value of it please.
Barrel and stock are in great shape.

Any 94 that feeds and fires seems to go for 800 and up.
You won't live long enough for it to be valuable.
I'd clean the matal as best as possible , warm it with a heat gun and apply creme blue, of a blueing of your choice.
Oil when done

My understanding is that post 63 Winchester used different alloys in their forged 94 receivers (until 1981 I believe) making conventional re-bluing impossible or tenuous at best.

Maybe best just to clean it up and keep it oiled.
