Here for your viewing pleasure in Winchester Model 1895 7.62mm Russian Contract Rifle serial number 283932 1916 production and falls within the serial number ranges 174,234-377,412 for the second contract of 200,000 rifles singed 27 August 1915 and completed deliveries by December 1916. Rifle has Russian “XN3” acceptance proof mark on the right side of the frame. It also probably served in the Bolshevik Revolution and Spanish Civil War.













 
Thanks for sharing. Very nice. These are quite rare Im assuming? I Don't think I have ever seen one for sale on the EE (Im not always looking though) or at any shows.

They are fairly rare, I've only seen one for sale at a show, I've been told many of them that survived are most likely still in Russia, but who knows...

Looked at a couple at Epps over the past several years that were essentially shot out beaters.
Inspected one in '06 recently that had a good action and exterior but the barrel was as smooth as a baby's behind. Crown damaged and rifling worn down by thousands of shots and improper cleaning.
Good ones are few and far between.
