Winchester model 25?

I have a friend who may have a Winchester Model 25 for sale soon.

It's my understanding that these are a non-takedown Model 12. Are they a nightmare to work on or clean, as a result?

They are more difficult than most modern guns, but I wouldn't say it comes anywhere near a nightmare. Non-takedown refers to the barrel being fixed, non-removable, but the trigger group and bolt assembly remove fairly easy.
