Hi guys, Im new to this board and would appreciate some help. I have had this winchester model 55 for many years now and am wanting to determine it worth. Can anyone help me out?

You might want to compare it to one of these that is for sale to determine what it might be worth. Also posting some photos would help.

Hmmm, the M-55 Winchester I had in mind was a rimfire bolt gun made between '58 & '60. The 55 lever gun made between '24 & '32 can be quite valuable.

Values in Canada are a little lower than the U.S. but a 55 in good shape(condition is important) should fetch over $1000. There were more takedowns made than solid frame rifles I read somewhere, the only Winchester lever where this was the case. When they were introduced they had seperate serial numbers than the 94, which they share an action with. Later on they were assigned serial numbers right in with the 94 rifle. To me they are one of the very best balanced and pointable woods rifles ever made.
