Latest find 1934 M67 , the rear sight has been upgraded, dove tail is correct ,original sight can be found and installed easily. Other than that ,it's in nice original condition . The research I've done on this gun indicates that this may be a Dual sight factory model ,scope with see through mounts ,drilled and tapped at factory and iron sights also .Mounts were installed ,scope was included in box.
The proof mark was stamped farther ahead on the receiver so the rear scope mount didn't cover ,starting in early 1938 with the Model 677 and later, scoped models were stamped on the side at about 9:00 position .Proof marked on the bolt body also .
Difficult to get absolute confirmation though ,Winchester didn't keep very good records in those early years and they never let extra parts go to waste. The finger grooved stock and "patent pending stamp" on safety wing with chrome finish points to a 1934-1937 production year model gun.
There were only 387 scoped model 67 from factory starting from March 1937 ,of those I suspect a small percentage were dual sight.
Either way ,it is a nice find ,it shoots and functions very well for it's age.
I would be very appreciative of information from collectors or Winchester rimfire fans on confirmation or value of it.
Sorry about the socks .
