Here's some photos to follow.
Need an ideer as to what you think she's worth.
Pre war and I have a funny feeling she was bought
in 1946.
I redid the wood with two coats of Min Wax sealer and a couple
three coats of Min Wax satin.
Took a 0000 pad of steel wool to her too, just to buff the shine a bit.
I don't think there is much use on her, the pieces are all sharp and crisp.
Bit of blueing loss on top where one's thumb would wear the finish off.
No cracks and no funny holes.
She shoulders wonderfully with the beaver tail fore wood.
Fits up nicely.
Long 27" bawrel too......... :p

Cheers folks....

Looky; Those old 67/68 Winchesters were mighty fine single-shot 22's.
I have owned several over the years, and all were great shooters.
My oldest son has a 68 [peep-sighted version of the 67]
It is a very accurate old 22.
Yours looks to be in prime shape.
I'm going to say $175.00 - $225.00
Eagleye.

Come on now 'looky, tell them about the Mc & Mc connection.
I wracked my poor old brain for two days trying to remember what Mc & Mc stood for.
I came up with McClennan, McKfeely and Prior, wholesale hardware chain.
Can anybody remember if this is correct?

Under the butt pad is some pencil'in.
I believe the first owner pencilled in his name which I won't reveal here.
Under his name is Whonnock.
This had me mystified and I find out it's a place outside of Mission.

So definitely a piece of history on this gal.
Need to go out and prove her capabilities.
Maybe the gun powder feller would do the first
honors?..........:)

You up to it H?

Bruce, you got it right!!
This company was still around when I was a tad.
My father dealt with them from time to time. [He had a hardware business]
The correct designation was McLennan, McFeely and Prior.
Regards, Dave.
