The Model 70 Safari Express in a matte blued finish is the perfect choice for your once-in-a-lifetime hunt because it's built to handle the heavy cartridges necessary to take dangerous game. Important details like the Pre-'64 type claw extractor, Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, barrel band front swivel base, hooded-blade front sight and express-style rear sight make the Safari Express ideal for any African hunt. The dual recoil lugs and two steel stock reinforcing crossbolts handle the punishment from heavy magnum loads. The time-tested Three-Position Safety has been a hallmark of the Model 70 for decades.

Your description says matte Blue. I've read some say it's matte grey? Is the finish like a cerakote finish? Thanks
The finish is not a cerakote, but a blued finish that is matte (rather than the usual shiny, polished blueing) to reduce glare. The finish is not grey, but the typical "blue-black" of a Winchester.

They are great rifles. Mine is 375 HH made at the FN Hertsal plant in South Carolina around 15 yrs ago. Shoots .75 MOA for most everything I load for it. Really likes 260 gr Accubonds. I use it a lot more than I thought I would. I trust the new production is as good. Get 'yourself one!

The Model 70 out the box is the best feeding and functioning DG rifle for the money
But dont hesitate to hunt smaller game with them too.
Its awesome fun and great practice for future big game hunts
Plenty of light for Caliber bullets that can be shot flat and low recoil
Mine have had red dot sights on but the 375 could carry a scope easily.
Warne QD mounts are the best in my opinion
Good luck.

I have found their coating to be very good but it’s not a cerekote
My last 458 was shortened to 20” and cerakoted and was an amazing rifle to carry and could take any abuse
