I purchased my first model 70 some time ago on the EE and finally made the time to put some rounds through it.
The trigger pull was heavier than any other bolt rifle I have ever owned. So the search is on for an after market trigger. Since this is a stainless rifles, I'd like to keep the same finish. It doesn't appear as if Timney makes a stainless version. All I can find in silver is the rifle basics.
As far as I know, I have three options, perhaps more
1) Buy Timney and suck up the fact that it does not match.
2) Buy Rifle Basics in silver
3) Find gunsmith that will rework the trigger.
4) Educate me please

Having never purchased an after market trigger, I would greatly appreciate some educated replies

Found my own answer. I just stumbled on the nickel plated version.
Not sure if there is a better option out there. I've never felt the need to improve a trigger before, so I have not had the experience of using a Timmy yet.

What version of M70 is it? If it's a "Classic" you could just have a competent gunsmith adjust the trigger. They were the simplest triggers ever made.
