It is and has being around for a long time ! I was just shooting my M7 just today .

I went to a gun show many years ago looking for a 7mm08 to hunt white tails and I asked one of the vendors if he had any 7mm08's for sale. He responded, "yes I do sir, is it for your wife?"

Don't you hate when that happens ?
Momentary lapse of rational thinking and then *bang* reality let go and there it was gone.
Tiss some pretty nice wood and that is getting harder and harder to find on brand new rifles.

Shot a whitetail and a black bear within the last year and both were almost DRT ...... Kimber Montana, Swaro 3x9-36, Hornady 140gr Whitetail ammo ....... No complaints so far with 7-08 .....
