Good day lady’s and gents, just curious as to how rare a model 70 with a DM is if even rare at all? I have a sporter in .22-250, owned it for 26ish years now and to date have yet to see another DM 70. I actually found and bought a spare mag at a gun show after trying to source one for years. Own a few tikkas in various varmint Calibers so the Winchester hasn’t left the safe in a few years. Trying to get a value on the rifle, not positive I want to get rid of it but possibly. Thanks for any reply’s, have a great day!

I've come across a few. There's been 2 for sale on the EE in the past month. All long actions though. I can't remember seeing a 22-250

Not common. My brother in law had one in 300 Win Mag. They're still just a push feed Model 70, value I'd put at $700 or less with a spare mag

Do some searching on the internet.......... apparently the DM models were only produced from 1992-1994 and are rare. Personally the only one I have ever seen was in 30.06. Chances are a 22-250 is even rarer.

There likely is a Model 70 collectors group on the internet, those members should have even more info. Or try contacting Wichester.

I just sold a fine example of a DM Model 70 Sporter barrel in .22-250. I loved it so much I paid to have the factory scope mounting 6-48 holes drilled and tapped to 8-40 for more robust PR / PRS use.

Then other priorities popped up such as my 7 month Grand daughter moving within 400 steps of my bungalow.... and my son moving closer was a very able sniper match spotter/partner. Now that fabulous shooter belongs to a coyote hunter and he promised to give it a great home.

The DBM system was a flush magazine, which was great on the tripod Hog Saddle / PIGG Saddle balance point. The push feed Model 70 is stronger (just look at the metal work) than any Remmy 700 tube action / receiver can ever be. Before you Remmy fans get mad at me, I have 3 of them....

I sure miss my Model 70 rigs...

Peace Be To Journey!

I had two different ones both in 7mm. I liked them but hated the mags as they were hard to load ammo in. When they came out they were a $600 to $650 ish gun new. Sold one not long ago in that price range.
