Winchester model 70

Just picked up a Winchester 70 in 22-250. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these. Took the stock off to clean it and to my surprise it is bedded. Oh and according to the serial # it was built in 1978. Any opinions and info would be appreciated.

Take it to the range with a supply of different manufactured ammo and give us a range report.
It has been beds by the previous owner?
Maybe it will shoot bug holes or maybe....

A 1978 push feed was not bedded from the factory and the stock has tip pressure on the barrel. Not to say either was a bad thing that's just the way it was in 1978. I had one from that era and it was a very accurate dependable rifle. Take her out and put it through it's paces at the range as suggested and tell us how it goes.

It is a Winchester ..... after '81 ? they were USRA.
