First of all, please share your pictures. I love these guns.

I'm looking for a new, CRF Supergrade and I can't seem to find anyone selling them in Canada via Google. Who's the Winchester Dealer in Canada?

Sold 2 Model 70s over the last few years. Kicking myself since.
Until I just snatched up an extreme weather 30-06 (identical to Sgt's up there) recently.
They are all around one of the best hunting rifles ive used in my short hunting life.
I should add, they are probably my favorite bluing jobs out all the wood blues Ive handled.

Contact the Gun Dealer in NB. They are a sponsor and are big Winchester fans.

Can anyone shed any constructive light on why new M-70's are so scarce on gun shop racks. Epps for example always had a good supply in stock but the past year or so they seem to come in only a couple at a time if at all. This happened previously back around 2008 as I remember, both Win. M-70's and Kimber 8400's, Montana's etc. were in short supply.
Speaking with the head of international shipping for Kimber at the time she stated it was simply a matter of supply and demand. At that time Kimber could not manufacture the guns fast enough to meet the orders. Perhaps this is repeating it self with Winchester, the demand may be out weighing the supply.

1975 M70 in 222rem when they only had long action receivers. Most accurate rifle I own presently, I have to use shoot-n-see targets just to identify the bullet holes they are so close together lol.

Model 70 featherweight, .308... leupold vx-3. Best rifle I've ever owned. The next will be a super grade

A .74 Dollar might have something to do with the rarity of these fine firearms.
There is one in the EE right now, but do not recall the caliber.
I also know of one near me in 300 WinMag for $1400.00 ish

I heard fn/browning was setting impossibly large minimum orders, and forcing "kits", where a dealer has to order a certain amount of crap that won't sell in order to get the good stuff.

I *also* heard that moving Winchester Modle 70 production from the US to Portugal took about a year, and this is that drought.

It was only the stock making and assembly that was moved to Portugal, into the same plant where Browning has been assembling guns since 1974.

I may as well play....here's my '62 Fwt in 270 Win. and my custom 1949 action in 35 Whelen.

I have a friend that has a small gun shop... just a few months ago he started selling kimber and leupold. Before he even sold one of either, he was dropped as a dealer by his supplier. They wanted a certain amount that he had to buy at once, and he couldn't do it... so they wouldn't give him any. Sucks, because I was going to buy one :/

Browning has been doing that to the dealers for many years now that they have to order a wide range of Browning product such as clothing, boots knives etc. etc. and not just guns. It has been a major compliant of many smaller shops is that they are stuck with all kind of expensive inventory they can't sell.

Don't have a digital camera anymore so I can't post pictures of my M-70's. I have 3 of the newer FN South Carolina vintage, Super Grade 30-06, featherweight .243, Alaskan 375 H&H, and a pre 64 300 H&H standard grade. Bought my first one in 1973, carried it on many adventures.

I got my M70 from Bashaw in Alberta.
I think they still got a couple (a 30-06, and a 7mm maybe).
I was looking for another Winchester in 308, but the ones with iron sight - they got none.
Another dealer is corlane, they got an Alaskan model in 30-06.
