Winchester Model 70

I just purchased a Model 70 chamberd in 30-06. I tried to check out its approximate value in a book, only to find no less than 25 different guns. Here is my question: there is only a serial # on the firearm, so how do I tell which exact Mod 70 I have? I narrowed it down to a few, but I am wondering if I can find out more by the serial #. Anyone that can give me a little more info, it would be greatly appreciated!!
 
Its one of the newer ones... I suspect its the featherweight... its has no sights, and it's quite light (compared to a heavy barrel Rem 700 anyways!). I would just like to know exactly what it is... I picked it up for $350 in near mint condition, so its a keeper...
 
Some years ago I was looking at a new 70, lightweight, or whatever name they had coined for it. The trigger was one of the worst I have felt on a new rifle for quite some time.
 
M-70 trigger is easily adjusted and cleaned up--no reason to dispose of rifle for that reason only--but if its that bad I'll be happy to take it off your hands for the price you paid. :)

COULD IT BE A ..XTR FEATHERWEIGHT...Reddish rubber recoil pad. Scroll type wood carving on forestock. I think it was called a schnabel forestock..Thin barrel. Weights 6 1/2 pounds.

And for that price I will take it !!!

I have one of those featherweights. It is my 'never selling it' gun. It wears like an old shirt but looks like a tux. I love it! It's in .270.
