I know most of the clip versions of the Winchester Model 77 have jamming problems. My question is ,for those who have or have used the tube version of the Model 77,did you have any problems with jamming in the tube version?

If jamming occurred with the tube version, was it just with certain brands of ammunition or did they jam with all brands?

I have a tube model. It works flawlessly with anything I put in it.

I also had a box magazine model for a while. It wouldn’t work worth a crap. Because a previous owner had mixed up some of the nearly-identical springs. After that, it worked like a charm. Even with an aftermarket magazine.

They are an overly complicated design, but they have a very nice trigger and are beautiful rifles IMO. Just be very, very organized if you ever decide to strip it down completely.

Thank-you for the replies.Seems some of the tube magazine Model 77 rifles work well, while others do not, from reading the posts here.

Any one else have a comment about these rifles or owned one?
