Great gun, don't worry about the lever safety thing, not really an issue. Leave the hood off the sight, it just makes sights harder to see in low light. I wouldn't worry about disassembly instructions. You don't have to take it apart to lube or maintain it. Personally I would clean the stock with a turpentined rag, you would be surprised how much dirt comes out of the wood. Then after it dries rub in several light coats of boiled linseed oil. I find it looks much better than Tru-oil( too shiny ).

Just shot it today.... Love it! Pretty damned accurate!
I've never fired a .30-.30 before, but I think this gun will see a lot of use!
