Winchester model 94 .307 caliber value?

No idea on real value, but having seen the XTR's go from $900.00 to $1800.00.
Looks to be in very nice condition from pictures shown, so yeah it might realize a higher $$.
The gun just has to find the right buyer.

The ones I've seen sell lately have to be in very good/exc condition to reach $1200+/-. Ammo is still available as is brass in some stores.

I’m far from experienced on rating condition but this looks new except for a few safe marks.
The loading gate looks as it was never used.
Seems to easy to purchase ammo though and not to expensive as well.

From the pictures there seems to be some bluing loss around the edges and marks on the receiver bluing.Hard to tell for sure from the pictures, but it does look that way.:)Front end of loading gate appears to have bluing loss as well.Clear picture would help.:)

What has more value, a 307 or a 30-30? Because the absolute cheapest 94 I saw at the Chilliwack gun show last weekend was $1000 (which was in 30-30), and that didn't include an optic or ammo.

I think it’s mostly bad quality pictures taken with my phone camera, in his basement ( low light)

I think what may make the .307 more desirable is that they didn’t produce a whole lot of them.

I can see it going either way - on the one hand, 307 is less common and more powerful, on the other hand the 30-30 is the quintessential win94 caliber and 30-30 brass and factory ammo are easy to get.

I’m thinking more of a collector item for the die hard 94 crowd

I would say over $1500 maybe 1700 with the ammunition. A lot of people like the 307 , myself included. Accuracy is better than my 30-30. Besides for the few rounds of factory ammo that came with it I use my reloads, 170 gr fp. I plan to keep it for awhile.

Lots of Winchester around for $80 per box , on average.
Can’t find any Hornady leverevolution in stock though.

WINCHESTER - 307 WIN - 180 GR - SUPER-X - POWER POINT - 20CT - $97.99

WINCHESTER - 30-30 WIN - 150 GR - SUPER-X - POWER POINT - 20CT - $39.99

While .307 ammo is available, I believe this is why there is a limited market/selling price. The ammo is available now, but someone thinking about it might have seen the same auction I did where someone paid $300+200 ++ for two(50) boxes of 44-40. The 30wcf- there is a big difference between $2 a shot or $5!

Quite a few years ago at a show, a guy had a bunch of .307 on his table and nobody showed any interest so for his offer of take all 11 boxes for $100 I did. We all know those days are far behind us now.

I think it’s the make and model of the gun that gives it, its appeal.
Also the .307 don’t give up much compared to .308

I wouldn’t have bought mine if it wasn’t a 94 Winchester. I have a Savage 99 in 308 and I don’t find much difference in them. I reload so they cost the same to shoot. I happen to like levers which I have over a dozen.

Snider's reason buying his 307Win is very similar to why I bought my 308ME, I wouldn't have bought it, if wasn't a Marlin. I also like levers, I wish had over a doz, I only have 10 :( .
