Winchester Model 9422---what is it worth?

Sorry about that. Crappy screenshot.

$1185.00 plus shipping and gst = $1266.75

It's steep but I really wanted one.

If it's in nice shape that price isn't crazy, The days of finding them under a grand are over for the most part by the looks of the EE over the last few years.

It looks to me, that some one at some point has added a sling strap. If there has been a hole drilled in the stock for a sling stud,it will effect the collector value of the rifle.

I found this 1979 XTR recently for $450 with scope. Every now and then I strike a bit of paydirt.

Sweet deal propliner, what's different about the XTR? Barrel length? I thought the later XTR' came with checkered wood and were otherwise the same.

The first two years of XTR had a smooth glossy stock. Checkering came after that. XTR meant nicer finish overall, in wood and in bluing, though many people debate that the bluing was any different.

i have a bunch of 9422's.regulars and XTR's,and the XTR is most definitely a lot nicer.early non checkered XTR's were made for the first 5 or 6 years.and are harder to come by,but all mint 9422's are actually better than money in the bank,
