Anyone use thus stuff got some in 150 grain was a bit cheaper than the others for my 270 is it ok for blacktail or.....? Anyfeed back would be good as i am new at hunting this will be my first season...its bonded aswell if that makes a difference

Despite it being a bonded bullet I wouldnt shoot anything above deer/black bear with it. So no moose, elk etc

Its very accurate in the two guns I have that shoot it, just havent used it on anything alive yet.

Just curious as to why you would not use it on moose or elk. Do you feel the same about the 150gr Elite XP3?

At the risk of sounding trite, hunting results are about 95% bullet placement, and 5% bullet power and construction. My grandfather shot 50 large BC moose with a 30-30. Only one was not a one shot kill.

The 270 is very powerful. A boiler room hit would be 100% effective on anything in North America. I once expressed concern about a buddy using 130 gr bullets on moose. He said "It blows their lungs out their nose." My theory vs his experience.

One of the things you will learn with hunting experience is to think 3D so your shot goes through the boiler room, and to wait for a good shot.

Practice enough with your rifle from the standing and sitting position so you know your capabilities. When sitting, practice shooting off both shoulders. An animal approaching you from the right or right rear has to be engaged from the left shoulder if you want to reduce excess movement.

A fellow I hunt with shot a bull moose with them (in 7mm mag) a couple seasons back and it penetrated poorly through bone. Given it wasnt ideal shot placement, but bone is bone, and it didnt penetrate well enough for my liking. That said, I do carry them for deer and have no doubt they will perform well on them. As I said, they border on being ridiculously accurate from my guns.

I have not personally used an XP3, but ive never read a single bad thing about them. Ive seen there effects on moose and have no doubt they will perform.

i tried a box of 150 power max in a 308. accuracy so so but very slow. in the 2600 speed range. same rifle with 150 scirrocos and rel15 hits 2900 fps.

Hi there -- shot an island black tail with this bullet in a .270 --- Neck shot at approx 75yds , the bullet came apart and made a huge mess --- remington core lokt in a 130 gr is a great bullet and i have dropped Mullies, black tails , black bears and moose with it
