Is Winchester producing 22lr power point any more, and if so, where can you get it? It was my favorite round and now I can't find any and none of the dealers can tell me if it's available.

Its been very hard to find them in the past couple years. Hopefully Winchester will be bringing them back soon but I heard they were moving their plant or something like that. It was my favortie HV round.

For some reason, Winchester skipped production for a few years. Left the whole industry short of hollow points. Hope they get back at it, because those big 40 gr hollows are really good gopher poison especially when the gophers body up in late season. SCHMUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH!

Powerpoints haven't been available in Canada for at least 1 year, I was at P&D and saw 6 fresh cases shipped in from Winchester about 2 weeks ago.FS

About a year and half ago, I bought all the stock Wholesale in Calgary had - just about 4000 rounds. I'm down to my last two bricks!

They sure do a number on gophers...

Lebarons in Ottawa has been out for almost a year now. I didn't know Canadian tire ever stocked this item. Certainly not in any of the CT locations I have been in anyway. Definately a devistating little hollowpoint.

$32 is well worth it IMO, the stuff shoots better than a lot of ammo costing two or even three times as much. Well, at least the older lots I stocked up on did, I bought 10,000 rounds in 2002 that will outshoot anything this side of match grade Lapua and Eley and definitly prints better than anything that hits as hard.

I wish I had done the same as reg. I only bought a couple bricks left. Have only 2 boxes now. I found that on the USBR target I could shoot just as good with this stuff as I could with Lapua Master M out of my 10/22. Very few flyers, and they work great on animals. Hard hitting and fast, and as mentioned super accurate. Its really too bad that they have been out of stores now. I have yet to find a high velocity round that will shoot as good as them.

that good huh? then i guess i'll continue the search. i've looked for it for the last few months and a lot of stores never heard of it.
