Hi folks,

I'm looking for ballistic tables for Winchester's E-Tip line of rifle ammunition (150 grain, 7mm Rem Mag, to be precise). Their online "ballistics calculator" is not yet operational, and I want to sight in my 7mm to something other than the 200 yards indicated on the side of the box.

Anybody know where I can find or buy ballistic tables for this line of ammo?

Thanks in advance!

Bill

There is a ballistics calculator here:

http://ww w.eskimo.com/~jbm/cgi-bin/jbmtraj-5.0.cgi

and

http://ww w.nosler.com/index.php?p=11&b=5&s=140

gives the BC of this bullet as 0.498, and for starters a reasonable MV would be 3100n fps

This is a great little tool, and in my experience its outputs have been quite realistic.

Super - thanks guys!

p.s. Just checked the "eskimo" link you suggested - WOW! I can see this being really useful.

It's only useful to get a rough idea of the point of impact, especially if you don't have a chronograph to measure the actual velocity of the load in your rifle. To really know where the point of impact is at a given distance, you need to actually shoot your rifle with the load at that distance.

Yes, you are right about actually shooting at the distance. But at least it'll save me a few rounds getting it on the paper for the distance that I want.
