This sight came on a First Model 1873 Round barrel Winchester. The graduations start at 'three' and end at 'nine' by the upper notch. I have been unable to identify it. Any help will be appreciated

take care

At first glance it looks like a 42B ( sporting leaf sight), sometimes it's called Musket sight. They are found on the Henry Rifle, Model 1866, 1873, Rifles and Carbine. Yours should have a flat spring on the bottom also. What makes yours a little different is that is flat on the top with the v notch, most are rounded on the top for the rifle and concaved for the carbine. All the Henry Rifle one's are round on the top. I would say that is a correct sight for the first model 73.

Thanks Road King.

I did compare it to my '66 Musket and Henry and as you say they are different. Happy to hear it belongs to the 1st Model :)

take care
